Katy Porterfield
15 Black Assistant Coach
Katy attended Olathe South High School where she played Varsity volleyball for three years. She has played club for Premier (Omaha, NE) and MAV’s. She played at Nationals in her 14’s and 15’s seasons. After high school Katy played volleyball at Avila University and Nebraska Wesleyan University as a setter.
Katy has coached club volleyball since 2003. She has coached for Jaguar Jrs, Nebraska Select, Mizuno Blazers, and MAV’s. She has coached many different age groups. Katy has coached high school volleyball at Blue Valley North and at Olathe South as well. Katy specializes in training setters. She loves the connection and relationships built with players while watching and helping them grow as players and young ladies.
Katy is married to Ryan Porterfield. They have a daughter named Kaia and another daughter due at the beginning of August.
